Designed and developed by Cortina Productions, Inc., this award winning touch screen interactive presents visitors with in-depth information about select whales, including an exploration of how they use their calls to communicate and navigate the oceans. Visitors can listen to each whale's call and record their own voices in an attempt to mimic them. Spectrographs, drawn in real-time, provide a visual comparison of the visitor's voice against the actual whale calls.
Westchester Media Works provided Cortina Productions, Inc. with programming updates for the special 'Alaska' edition of the software, and programming to incorporate the endangered Vaquita Porpoise in the standard edition. We also programmed user metrics to track user interaction, wrote the user manuals, and built custom installers to simplify program installation.
